Under the leadership of Hon. Engr. Anayo Onwuegbu, FNSE, the landscape of the constituency has been reshaped by a comprehensive focus on infrastructure that prioritizes the needs of the people. Onwuegbu has spearheaded the construction and rehabilitation of nearly 28 kilometers of roads across the constituency. Access to clean water, a fundamental need for any thriving community, has been addressed through the construction of solar-powered boreholes in Akpugoeze, ensuring that families have a reliable and sustainable source of water. Renovations of community centers, such as the Ugwuoba Town Hall, have further strengthened communal spaces, providing venues for meetings, civic engagement, and cultural events.
Education, too, has been a central focus of Hon. Onwuegbu’s infrastructure initiatives. The construction of a six-classroom block at Awgu Boys Secondary School demonstrates a commitment to providing young people with conducive learning environments. By investing in educational infrastructure, he has laid the foundation for future generations to excel academically and professionally, ensuring that the constituency’s youth have the resources to thrive.
