Enugu State to Conduct Statewide Clean-Up Exercise on February 28

The Enugu State Waste Management Authority (ESWAMA) has announced that this month’s statewide clean-up exercise will take place on Saturday, February 28, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

During this period, there will be strict restrictions on the movement of people and vehicles, except for those on essential duties, who must present valid identification or an official ESWAMA Pass. The authority also stated that the Mobile Environmental Court will be on duty along designated routes, and that defaulters will be arrested and prosecuted without delay.

The announcement further instructs that early morning sporting activities, as well as the loading and off-loading of passengers in motor parks and other commercial activities across the state, are to be suspended during the exercise.

ESWAMA is urging Ndi Enugu to actively participate in the cleanup, emphasizing that collective efforts are crucial for promoting a cleaner and healthier environment.
