The immediate past Chairman of Awgu Local Government Area, Hon. Dr. Pedro Nwankwo, has joined other leaders and stakeholders in celebrating the 62nd birthday of Ifeanyi Lawrence Ugwuanyi, former Governor of Enugu State and Nigeria’s Ambassador to Greece.

He noted that the former governor’s record in public service reflects a strong commitment to peace, unity, and the welfare of the people, adding that his leadership style remains widely admired.
Nwankwo recalled that during his eight-year tenure as governor, Ugwuanyi sustained peace and stability in Enugu State, prioritized rural development, and promoted inclusive governance, which earned him commendations within and outside Nigeria.
According to him, the 62nd birthday of the former governor is not only a personal milestone but also an opportunity to celebrate a life dedicated to service and humanity.
