In a statement signed by its Chairman, Dr. Chiedozie Alex Ogbonnia, FLENSHA expressed excitement over the tangible outcomes of Governor Mbah’s “disruptive governance paradigm” in Enugu State. The group comprises former speakers, deputy speakers, principal officers, and lawmakers from various political parties and vocations.

According to the statement, FLENSHA is delighted by the rehabilitation of key infrastructure, including Hotel Presidential Enugu, International Conference Centre, Enugu, and Sunrise Flour Mills, Emene Enugu. They also commended the SMART school program in the 260 electoral wards, the Enugu City project spanning five local government areas, and the establishment of level 2 healthcare facilities across the 260 electoral wards.

Other notable achievements mentioned include the Enugu State Electricity Law and massive road infrastructure development. FLENSHA praised Governor Mbah’s vision to boost the state’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) from $4.4 billion to at least $30 billion within four to eight years and achieve a zero percent poverty rate.

The group also applauded the governor’s plan to leverage the economic proximity between Ugwuoba, a boundary community in Enugu State, and the Awka Capital Territory in Anambra State. FLENSHA noted that Governor Mbah’s efforts have earned him a high rating among Nigeria’s 36 state governors.

Dr. Ogbonnia urged Governor Mbah not to relent in his efforts, saying, “We seize this opportunity of Independence Anniversary to urge the governor to continue keying into the lofty vision of the Founders of Enugu State.”

The felicitation is a testament to Governor Mbah’s commitment to transforming Enugu State and improving the lives of its citizens.
