In fulfillment of his commitment to inclusive governance, Hon. Uchenna Joseph Okolo, Executive Chairman of Awgu Local Government Council, has initiated a community-driven project selection process.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!The “One Day One Project” initiative invites Awgu communities to identify and prioritize five key projects each. The selection forms have been distributed to communities through elected councilors.
To ensure legitimacy, the forms must be endorsed by the President General, Traditional Ruler, and Ward Councilor of each community.
The deadline for submission is Friday, October 11, 2024.
According to Dockey Ndubuisi Michael, Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to the Chairman, this initiative aims to empower communities to take ownership of their development.
“Our Tomorrow is Here,” said Michael, emphasizing the council’s commitment to community-driven development.
