The partnership was announced during a courtesy visit by the NDE team, led by Director-General H.E. Silas Agara, to ACReSAL Project Coordinator, Mr. Abdulhamid Umar in Abuja.

According to the Director-General, the partnership aims to promote environmental sustainability and create job opportunities for Nigeria’s teeming unemployed population. “We need innovative solutions to empower job seekers, and this partnership will help us achieve that,” Agara said.

ACReSAL, a World Bank-funded project, is dedicated to addressing environmental issues in arid landscapes. By combining forces, NDE and ACReSAL will implement economically viable and environmentally responsible programs.

Mr. Abdulhamid Umar expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, highlighting its potential benefits. “Together, we can cultivate resilience to climate change and sustainable job opportunities in semi-arid regions.”

To support the collaboration, ACReSAL donated laptops and gadgets to NDE, enhancing their technological capacity and resource allocation.
