AWGU LGA SENSITIZES STAKEHOLDERS ON FARM ESTATE PROGRAM

Awgu Local Government Area stakeholders gathered at Awgu Council Hall for a comprehensive sensitization meeting on the Enugu State Farm Estate Program.

Hon. Uchenna Joseph Okolo, represented by Deputy Chairman Dr. Stanley Uchenna Ezediuto, outlined Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah’s visionary initiative promoting food security and youth employment.

The program allocates 200 hectares per ward for commercial agriculture, providing training, farming inputs (fertilizers, seedlings, tools) and tractor operation training for 200 farmers per ward. Additionally, the Awgu Smart Farms initiative was introduced.

Attendees included Rt. Hon. Nelson Uduji, Secretary, Awgu LGA; Hon. Ndubuisi F. Nwaudeigwe; Mr. Joel Agbo, HOD Planning, Research and Statistics; Traditional Rulers; President Generals; and Ward Councillors. Chairman Okolo emphasized community cooperation to ensure program success.
