OHANAEZE NDIGBO WORLDWIDE DEBUNKS CRISIS RUMORS,LAUDS OBASANJO’S COMMITMENT TO IGBO WELL-BEING

The Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide has issued a strongly-worded statement dismissing rumors of a crisis within the organization. According to Dr. Chiedozie Alex Ogbonnia, the National Publicity Secretary, the apex Igbo socio-cultural body is united and focused on promoting the interests of the Igbo people.

The statement comes on the heels of a press release circulated by a certain individual, claiming that a crisis had deepened within Ohanaeze Ndigbo. However, Dr. Ogbonnia described the claim as “mischievous” and “unfounded,” stating that the organization is functioning seamlessly under the leadership of Ambassador Okey Emuchay, the Secretary-General.

Dr. Ogbonnia expressed gratitude to the Igbo people and other Nigerians who have shown support and solidarity to Ohanaeze Ndigbo following the demise of Igbo icon, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu (Ahaejiagamba). He described the outpouring of condolences as a “source of strength, unity, and inspiration” for the organization.

In a related development, the Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide has praised former President Olusegun Obasanjo for his unwavering commitment to the well-being of the Igbo people. Dr. Ogbonnia recalled that Obasanjo had hosted a meeting with some Ohanaeze chieftains at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, Abeokuta, Ogun State.

The organization commended Obasanjo’s “unwavering love and commitment” to the Igbo people, citing his condemnation of Igbophobia and malicious stereotypes against the Igbo in Nigeria. Dr. Ogbonnia also applauded Obasanjo’s recruitment of prominent Igbo individuals into his administration during his presidency.

The Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide apologized to Obasanjo for the “unfounded mischievous imaginations” against him by certain individuals. The organization reaffirmed its commitment to promoting the interests of the Igbo people and working towards a united and prosperous Nigeria.

In a final note, Dr. Ogbonnia warned those he described as “agent provocateurs, charlatans, meddlesome interlopers, and conflict entrepreneurs” to desist from desecrating the name of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide. He emphasized that the organization would continue to work towards the betterment of the Igbo people, despite attempts to distract or undermine its efforts.
