
The Impactful Youth Development Initiative (IYDI) in partnership with 7Up Bottling Company has successfully hosted the Impact BIS Business Innovation Summit. The event, tagged “Maximizing Opportunities For Self Reliance,” was held at a prestigious Mandela Hall, Golden Royale hotel, Enugu, with the aim of empowering youths to become self-reliant and entrepreneurial.






In a vote of thanks, the convener, Ejike Nnaji, appreciated the speakers, 7Up Bottling Company, and other sponsors for their support in making the event a success.

According to the convener, Ejike Nnaji, the summit was designed to provide a platform for youths to develop their skills, build their confidence, and become self-reliant. “We believe that by empowering our youths, we can create a brighter future for ourselves and our communities,” Nnaji said.



The summit featured a lineup of distinguished guest speakers, including Hon. Samson Ezea, a seasoned journalist and a Media Consultant, Hon. Barr. Ngozi Enih, Commissioner for Children, Gender Affairs and Social Development, and Hon. Ekene Emmanuel Nnamani, Executive Chairman, Enugu State Board of Internal Revenue Services. The speakers shared their expertise and experiences on various topics, including self-development, perseverance, and innovation.


In his keynote address, Hon. Samson Ezea stressed the need for youths to develop themselves, be value-oriented, and pursue education to achieve self-reliance. He also emphasized the importance of resilience and persistence in overcoming life’s challenges.



Other speakers, including Hon. Barr. Ngozi Enih and Hon. Ekene Emmanuel Nnamani, echoed similar sentiments, emphasizing the need for perseverance, consistency, and hard work in achieving success. Mrs. Vera Onyekwere and Mrs. Onyinye Mamah also delivered speeches, focusing on the importance of creating value, building trust, and being consistent in achieving self-reliance.





The event also featured a question-and-answer session, where attendees had the opportunity to engage with the speakers and seek advice on various issues, including overcoming challenges, discovering one’s purpose, and raising funds to start a business.
