In a jaw-dropping turn of events, a suspected kidnapper, Nasiru Isyaka, has been apprehended by the Niger State Police Command after he made a shocking mistake – paying a “sympathy visit” to one of his victims at their home.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!According to a statement released by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Wasiu Abiodun, Isyaka and his gang had invaded Sabon-Gari Mangu Matachibu village on December 29, 2024, leaving a trail of terror and devastation in their wake. The hoodlums killed one person and kidnapped two others, who were later rescued through a joint security effort.
However, in a bizarre and shocking twist, Isyaka was arrested on January 17, 2025, when he visited one of the rescued victims at their home, purportedly to offer his condolences. The victim, still traumatized by the ordeal, recognized Isyaka as one of the kidnappers and immediately alerted the authorities.
Police operatives from ‘A’ Division in Kontagora swiftly responded to the distress call and apprehended Isyaka. During the preliminary investigation, Isyaka confessed to the crime, and a locally made short gun was recovered from him.
The Niger State Police Command has transferred Isyaka to the Police headquarters in Minna for further investigation and prosecution. The police are also working tirelessly to arrest other members of the gang.
