
The Enugu State Electricity Regulatory Commission (EERC) has issued a public service announcement warning customers of Mainpower Electricity Distribution Company Limited against paying for materials or money for meter installation.

The EERC cited Regulations 10 and 11 of the Customer Service Standards and Protection Regulations 2024, which clearly state that the service provider is responsible for providing connection materials, including meters and accessories.
The commission emphasized that customers are not required to provide materials, such as wires, circuit breakers, or ladders, or pay money for meter installation. The EERC urged customers to report any demands for payment or materials to the commission via email at info@eerc.en.gov.ng or call 09122642755.
