According to a memo obtained by our correspondent, the incident occurred when Precious was making a TikTok video and Dr. Chukwudi Michael Okoye, the lecturer, walked past her. Okoye had asked Precious to delete the video, but she refused, leading to a physical altercation.

The university’s Student Disciplinary Committee conducted a thorough investigation and found Precious’ actions to be a gross violation of the institution’s disciplinary regulations, specifically Regulation 4 (SDR).

Consequently, the Acting Vice-Chancellor approved the committee’s recommendation to expel Precious from the university, effective immediately. The expelled student has been directed to vacate the university premises and return any university property in her possession.

The university’s decision has been widely welcomed by the academic community, who see it as a necessary step to maintain discipline and order on campus.

When contacted, the university’s Public Relations Officer declined to comment further on the matter, citing the need to maintain confidentiality in student disciplinary cases.
