NIGERIAN STATESMAN AND PANDEF LEADER, CHIEF EDWIN KIAGBODO CLARK, PASSES AWAY AT 97

Chief Edwin Kiagbodo Clark, a renowned Nigerian statesman and leader of the Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF), has passed away at the age of 97. His demise was announced in a statement by his family on Tuesday, confirming that he passed away on Monday, February 17, 2025.

According to the statement, signed by Prof. C. C. Clark for the family and Mr. Penawei Clark for the children, the Clark-Fuludu Bekederemo family of Kiagbodo Town, Delta State, wishes to announce the passing of Chief (Dr.) Sen. Edwin Kiagbodo Clark OFR, CON.

“The family appreciates your prayers at this time. Other details will be announced later by the family,” the statement reads.

Chief Clark was a respected figure in Nigerian politics, having served as a former Federal Commissioner for Information. His leadership and contributions to the Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF) were instrumental in promoting the interests of the Niger Delta region.

As news of his passing spreads, tributes have begun pouring in from across the country, with many praising his dedication to the development of the Niger Delta region.
