
In a demonstration of solidarity and spiritual closeness, Catholic Bishops from Africa have come together to express their support for Pope Francis as he undergoes medical treatment at a hospital in Rome.

The Catholic Church leaders in Africa stated that they have been closely following the Pope’s hospitalization and wished to reaffirm their commitment to praying for his swift and complete recovery.
Pope Francis was admitted to Rome’s Gemelli Hospital on February 14 for testing and treatment of bronchitis. He was later diagnosed with a polymicrobial respiratory infection, which required physicians to modify his treatment plan. Despite the complex clinical situation, the Pope showed a slight improvement on Wednesday, February 19.
The Vatican has been providing regular updates on the Pope’s health, and the Catholic community worldwide has been praying for his recovery. The outpouring of support from African Catholic Bishops is the latest demonstration of the global Catholic community’s commitment to the Pope’s well-being.
