Uchenna Joseph Okolo, has launched an ambitious project to install 600 high-quality solar-powered streetlights across the local government.
This initiative aligns with his administration’s commitment to enhancing security, night-time safety, and economic activities, ensuring that Awgu experiences significant progress in both rural and urban areas.
Hon. Okolo, who has remained steadfast in delivering people-oriented projects, stated that the solar streetlight installation is part of his broader vision to modernize Awgu, curb insecurity, and foster a 24-hour economy. He emphasized that the project is in line with the development blueprint of His Excellency, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, the Executive Governor of Enugu State, who has prioritized infrastructural expansion and economic revitalization across the state.
