
In a move to strengthen the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB), President Bola Tinubu has announced the appointment of four new members to its governing council. This development is aimed at boosting local content in the oil and gas sector.

The new members were appointed following the exit of previous representatives from various organizations.
The NCDMB is committed to exploring ways to improve its responsibilities, including overseeing and promoting Nigerian participation in the oil and gas sector. The new appointees are expected to leverage their expertise to drive local content growth in the sector.
The newly appointed members of the NCDMB board are:
- Olusegun Omosehin from the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM)
- Wole Ogunsanya of the Petroleum Technology Association of Nigeria (PETAN)
- Sam Azoka Onyechi, representing the Nigerian Content Consultative Forum (NCCF)
- Owei Oyanbo from the Ministry of Petroleum Resources.
