The Executive Chairman of Awgu Local Government Area (LGA), Hon. Uchenna Joseph Okolo, has joined Christians worldwide to celebrate Palm Sunday, a significant event in the Christian calendar marking the triumphant entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem.

In his goodwill message, Hon. Okolo urged Christians to reflect on the significance of Palm Sunday, which he described as “a reminder of Christ’s humble path and the hope He offers as we continue our journey of faith.”

“May this special day serve as a reminder of Christ’s humble path and the hope He offers as we continue our journey of faith. I wish you all the best on Palm Sunday, and all the days,” Hon. Okolo said.

The chairman also expressed his appreciation to the Christian community in Awgu LGA for their continued support and cooperation with his administration.

“I am grateful for the prayers and support of the Christian community in Awgu LGA. As we celebrate Palm Sunday, I urge you all to continue to pray for peace, unity, and progress in our local government area,” Hon. Okolo added.

Palm Sunday marks the beginning of Holy Week, which culminates in Easter Sunday, a celebration of Jesus Christ’s resurrection.
