As disclosed, the dualization project will “cut travel time between Enugu and Nsukka from over one hour to less than 30 minutes.” This significant reduction in travel time is expected to not only enhance the convenience of commuters but also boost economic activities in the region. With more efficient transportation, businesses will be able to operate more smoothly, and residents will have greater access to essential services.

Moreover, the project will “straighten dangerous bends, curb accidents, deter crime, and stimulate economic activities in Enugu North Zone, repositioning Nsukka as a key economic hub.” The inclusion of police patrols, street lighting, and enhanced security along the corridor will further ensure the safety of lives and property, providing a secure environment for businesses to thrive.

As the project progresses, it is expected to “bolster economic development, improve safety, and overall quality of life for Ndi Enugu.” The people of Enugu State have reason to be optimistic about the positive impact of this project on their lives and livelihoods. With improved infrastructure, businesses will be able to grow, and residents will enjoy a better quality of life.

This development is a testament to the commitment of the Peter Mbah administration to improving the infrastructure and economy of Enugu State. As the state continues to rise, the people can look forward to a brighter future.
