The Enugu State Water Corporation will implement the Water Last-Mile Connection Project. All landlords, caretakers, and tenants are directed to grant unhindered access to officials and accredited agents of the Water Corporation for property connections. Residents who have constructed buildings or structures on water utility for lines or public right-of-way are reminded that such developments are illegal and must grant full access to Water Corporation teams. Any obstruction of utility corridors will be treated as a serious violation of state laws and subject to enforcement actions. Non-compliance with this directive will attract sanctions as stipulated by law.

The Enugu State Government is committed to delivering this critical service to its citizens and has urged residents to cooperate fully to ensure the success of this exercise. This initiative is part of the government’s effort to improve the lives of its citizens and provide essential services.

“We call on all residents to cooperate fully to ensure the success of this critical exercise.” – Prof. Chidiebere Onyia, Secretary to the Government of Enugu State.

The directive takes immediate effect, and residents are expected to comply with the requirements of the Water Corporation.
