The training, held at the Enugu State College of Education and Technology (ESCET) and the Human Resources Development Centre (HRC), underscores the administration’s unwavering commitment to building a digitally fluent and future-ready workforce.



Building on the momentum of this initiative, the Enugu SME Center / Office of Digital Economy, led by Mr. Arinze Chilo-Offiah, has been instrumental in equipping more than 5,000 civil servants and over 10,000 teachers with essential digital competencies. Participants received hands-on training in tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, data analysis, and cloud-based collaboration platforms—designed to drive smarter, faster, and more transparent governance across the state.







The impact of this program is evident in the overwhelmingly positive feedback from participants. For instance, Mrs. Amaka Ede, Administrative Officer, Ministry of Education, expressed her gratitude for the training, saying, “Before this training, I had never used Excel. Now, I can confidently manage data and generate reports for my department.” Similarly, Mr. Chijioke Umeh, Human Resources Desk Officer, Ministry of Lands, noted, “This program is a game-changer. It has opened my eyes to new tools that make my work faster and more organized.” Mrs. Ifeoma Okoro, Principal Executive Officer, Ministry of Finance, also praised the initiative, stating, “I’m grateful to His Excellency and the team behind this. Digital skills are no longer optional for us.”




This initiative is a underscores the Governor Mbah’s bold promise to optimize government performance through technology and innovation. By making digital literacy a prerequisite for career advancement and investing in large-scale workforce development, the administration is positioning Enugu State as a national model for 21st-century governance.
