
The Honourable Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Chief Barr. Chris-Roberts Ozongwu, has appealed to residents of Enugu State, particularly those within Enugu Metropolis, to remain patient and cooperative as critical road and drainage construction works continue across various parts of the state.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!During a recent monitoring inspection, Commissioner Ozongwu acknowledged the temporary disruptions caused by the infrastructure projects, especially restricted vehicular access to homes and business premises in some neighborhoods. He emphasized that these inconveniences are regrettable but necessary for the long-term improvement of Enugu’s infrastructure.
“We understand the frustration these disruptions may cause, particularly when residents cannot easily access their homes,” Chief Ozongwu said. “We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and thank the public for their continued understanding. Our contractors are working diligently to complete these projects swiftly, with minimal impact on daily life.”
The projects are part of Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah’s administration’s drive to deliver sustainable, resilient, and efficient infrastructure that enhances mobility and protects against flooding across Enugu State.
Efforts are being made to complete projects swiftly and restore full access to affected areas. The temporary discomfort will soon give way to lasting benefits for all residents.
Citizens are advised to exercise. caution in construction zones and comply with posted traffic diversions and safety guidelines provided by on-site contractors.
The Ministry appreciates the public’s cooperation and support as the state government prioritizes Enugu’s welfare and infrastructural advancement.
