Prof Nnamchi’s Computer Training Programme Kicks Off August 1st

The Professor Paul Nnamchi Tech-Hub and Youth Innovation (PPNTAYI) annual computer training for youths in Enugu East and Isi Uzo Federal Constituency begins on August 1st, 2025.

This year’s programme will be held at two locations: Community Primary School Mbu in Isi Uzo Local Government Area and St. Joseph Hall Emene in Enugu East Local Government Area, running until August 31st, 2025.

Initiated during his University of Nigeria Nsukka days, the programme aimed to expose secondary students to information technology.
Upon his election to the House of Representatives in 2023, it was expanded to include youths from Isi Uzo. Over 500 youths have benefited from the training since 2023.

The coordinator, Daniel Nwachukwu, revealed that the training will run daily from 9am to 1pm at both venues, covering topics such as:

  • Basic Computer Knowledge
  • Microsoft Packages
  • Internet & Web Browser
  • Email & Communication Skills
  • Desktop Set-up
  • Basic Graphic Designs
  • Computer Configurations and System Maintenance
  • ICT

Mr Nwachukwu further stated that the awareness and interest have have increased tremendously stressing that the applications already received were huge thus making the sorting very cumbersome.

Professor Nnamchi has severally eemphasized that the programme was designed to prepare youths for future academic and employment challenges. Over five hundred youths from the constituency have benefited from the progrogramme.

The training will be round off on the 31st of August 2025 with the issuance of certificates to the certificates to the participants.
