Anayo Onwuegbu, Member representing the Aninri/Awgu/Oji-River Federal Constituency, has touched the lives of his constituents by distributing rice and cash gifts to widows, clergy, and vulnerable groups across Greater Awgu.
The event, held on 22 December 2025 at Hon. Onwuegbu’s residence in Enugu, was meticulously organized to ensure that every corner of the constituency felt the impact of the season.
To ensure transparency and professional oversight, the exercise was supervised by the partnering agency, the Federal Cooperative College, Oji-River, Enugu State.
The distribution process was inclusive and far-reaching, involving contact persons from all 42 political wards, alongside aides and key stakeholders.
This structured approach, efficiently coordinated by Hon. Onwuegbu’s SLA on Special Duties, Hon. Boniface Uchendu, ensured that the support reached the intended beneficiaries smoothly and equitably.
Bags of rice and cash gifts were presented to recipients who expressed heartfelt gratitude for the timely intervention. Among the groups represented was the renowned women’s group, Omeiheukwu Ladies, who celebrated the legislator’s act of generosity and commended his ongoing commitment to the welfare of his people.
The atmosphere was further brightened by a session of refreshments, allowing beneficiaries and guests to interact and share in the festive spirit.
