Onoh, who also serves as Chairman of the Forum of Former Members of the Enugu State House of Assembly, was reacting to speculations of a potential political alliance involving the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, and the Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma, in relation to the political future of Uche Nnaji in Enugu State.

In a statement issued to journalists in Abuja, Onoh maintained that such reports do not reflect the realities of the state’s political landscape, stressing that leadership decisions in Enugu remain firmly in the hands of its people.

“Enugu State’s political direction will be determined by its residents and electorate,” he said.

He expressed confidence in the administration of Governor Peter Mbah, noting that governance, performance, and delivery of democratic dividends would be decisive factors in shaping future political outcomes.

Onoh further called for unity and collaboration among political stakeholders, emphasizing the need to sustain stability and prioritize development across the state.

Addressing broader political participation, he encouraged constructive engagement among political actors, including Chief Uche Nnaji, towards advancing the collective progress of Enugu State.

He also urged stakeholders across the South-East to adhere strictly to due process and democratic principles, underscoring that cooperation remains critical to achieving sustainable development.

Reaffirming his confidence in the electorate, Onoh stated that the future of Enugu politics must be determined through inclusive, transparent, and lawful democratic processes.
