Hon. Engr. Anayo Onwuegbu, Member representing Aninri, Awgu and Oji-River Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, was among distinguished personalities who attended the wedding reception of Mr. Okeke Joseph, a relative of Hon. Humphrey Ojimma, Chief Executive Officer of Lanueva Hotels, Enugu.

The colourful reception was held on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at the Ogboli Ndiulo Primary School Field in Awgu Local Government Area of Enugu State. The event attracted an array of prominent political figures, traditional authorities, associates, and well-wishers who gathered to celebrate the union.
In his goodwill message, Hon. Onwuegbu congratulated the couple on their marriage and urged them to build their home on love, mutual respect, and understanding. He further prayed for God’s guidance and blessings upon their union, encouraging them to make their marriage a shining example for others.
Guests at the ceremony, including friends of both the bride and groom, also praised the couple’s admirable qualities and expressed optimism for a peaceful and fulfilling marital journey.
A major highlight of the reception was the traditional “selling of eggs” by the bride and her bridesmaids, a cultural display that entertained guests. This was followed by a captivating dance by the couple, drawing admiration from attendees who were equally treated to a rich variety of refreshments.
Hon. Onwuegbu, who also serves as Chairman of the House Committee on Lake Chad, attended the event alongside his wife, Barr. Mrs. Stella Onwuegbu, and the Member representing Aninri State Constituency, Hon. Engr. Magnus Edeh, among other political allies and aides.
The event also witnessed the presence of traditional rulers and community leaders, adding cultural significance to the occasion.
