The Executive Chairman of Awgu Local Government Area, Hon. Uchenna Joseph Okolo, has formally welcomed the Governor of Enugu State, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, ahead of the much-anticipated Enugu West Mega Rally scheduled to hold at the Awgu Local Government Council Headquarters.

Tochukwu Chukwu, the chairman described the governor as a dynamic and transformative leader whose administration has continued to set new standards in governance and development across the state.
Okolo commended the governor’s performance in key sectors, highlighting notable achievements in infrastructure development, education reform, healthcare delivery, and grassroots empowerment. He noted that these interventions have significantly improved the living standards of citizens while fostering economic growth and strengthening human capital development across Enugu State.
Describing Governor Mbah as “Godsent,” the chairman emphasized that his leadership embodies vision, innovation, and a people-centered approach to governance. He stressed that such rare leadership deserves sustained support and continuity beyond 2027.
According to him, the Enugu West Mega Rally will not only celebrate the administration’s accomplishments but also serve as a strategic platform to deepen grassroots mobilisation and reinforce collective commitment to the governor’s vision for the state.
“Awgu has always stood firm in its political resolve, and we are ready to do even more as we approach 2027,” the statement read, reaffirming the council’s unwavering loyalty and dedication.
In a symbolic gesture of solidarity, Okolo described Awgu as the governor’s “second home,” assuring him of a warm reception and continued support from the people.
The rally is expected to draw party faithful, stakeholders, youth groups, and residents from across the senatorial district, marking a significant moment in the political activities shaping the path toward the 2027 elections.
