HON. ONWUEGBU JOINS EKWEREMADU FAMILY, OTHERS TO HONOUR LATE MRS. MONICA OKAH IN ACHI

The Member representing Aninri/Awgu/Oji-River Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Engr. Anayo Onwuegbu, on Thursday joined the family of Okah and other dignitaries in Achi, Oji-River Local Government Area of Enugu State, to celebrate and honour the life and legacy of Late Mrs. Okwuneriego Monica Okah (Nee Onuabueke), fondly known as “Acharaugo.”

Late Mrs. Okah, who passed on at the age of 95, was widely described as a virtuous matriarch whose life embodied dignity, strength, compassion, and unwavering commitment to family and community values.

She was the beloved mother of Chief Mrs. Beatrice Ekweremadu, wife of former Deputy Senate President, Prof. Ike Ekweremadu.

Hon. Onwuegbu joined family members, friends, political associates, community leaders, and well-wishers who gathered to pay their final respects and celebrate the remarkable life of the late nonagenarian.

The solemn gathering provided an opportunity for relatives and associates to reflect on the impactful life and enduring legacy of Late Mrs. Monica Okah, whose virtues of motherhood, wisdom, humility, and service to humanity earned her admiration across generations.

Prayers were offered for the peaceful repose of her soul, while sympathizers also prayed for strength and comfort for the Okah and Ekweremadu families during this difficult period.

The event attracted a large turnout of mourners and dignitaries from different walks of life who came to honour the memory of the late matriarch and celebrate her fulfilled journey on earth.
