Mike Ogbuekwe, has continued his grassroots engagements, meeting with seasoned political leaders and stakeholders under the platform of the Enugu State Progressive Erstwhile Ward Executives (PEWEX).

The engagement, held under the distinguished chairmanship of Dr. Dan Shere, former Secretary to the Enugu State Government, provided a platform for discussions on grassroots mobilisation, leadership, community development and the future of Nkanu East.

Ogbuekwe joined other prominent stakeholders at the meeting, including Ozor Ejike Okpe, State Coordinator; Hon. Edwin Anyim, State Secretary; Hon. Frank Anioma; Rt. Hon. Ezenta Ezeani, Deputy Speaker of the Enugu State House of Assembly; Prof. Sam Onyeisi, Chairman, ENADEP; Dr. Ruben Onyeishi, SSA to the Governor on New Media; Dr. John Egbo (Sherif), Chairman, Enugu East Terminals; Princess Ngozi Ugwuanyi; and Prof. Damian Okpata, Chairman, South-East Grassroots Movement for Tinubu.

The meeting offered Ogbuekwe an opportunity to interact with experienced political actors, exchange perspectives and draw from the wealth of experience of leaders who have played significant roles in grassroots politics and public service.

The engagement also comes as conversations around development in Enugu State continue to focus on the administration of Governor Peter Mbah, whose government has placed emphasis on infrastructure, economic growth, human capital development and improved public services.

For Ogbuekwe, the priority is ensuring that the dividends of effective governance translate into tangible opportunities and improved living conditions for people at the grassroots, particularly in Nkanu East.

The gathering also featured the presentation of an Award of Excellence to Ogbuekwe in recognition of his contributions and commitment to grassroots engagement and community development.

Receiving the award, Ogbuekwe expressed appreciation to the PEWEX leadership, describing the recognition as an honour and an encouragement to deepen his commitment to the people.
He reiterated that meaningful development requires sustained engagement, collaboration and a willingness to listen to the people while learning from experienced leaders.
I remain committed to engaging with our people, learning from experienced leaders, and building partnerships that will contribute to the progress and development of Nkanu East, Ogbuekwe stated.
The APC candidate’s continued engagements reflect his effort to strengthen relationships with political stakeholders, community leaders and grassroots actors ahead of the Nkanu East chairmanship election.
As political activities gather momentum, Ogbuekwe says his vision remains focused on building partnerships, promoting inclusive leadership and creating an environment where development can reach communities across Nkanu East.
With his message anchored on Tomorrow Is Here, Ogbuekwe continues to emphasise collective action and purposeful leadership as the foundation for a better future for Nkanu East.
Together, we move forward.
