Mr. Nnamoko gave the charge on 30th September 2026 at the Ministry of Transport, Enugu State, while addressing officers of both agencies. He stressed that their responsibility is primarily to serve the public and ensure compliance with traffic and transport regulations in accordance with the policies and directives of the Enugu State Government.
The Permanent Secretary urged the officers to conduct themselves with courtesy, restraint and professionalism at all times, noting that enforcement of traffic regulations must be carried out within the law and with due respect for the rights and dignity of members of the public.

He warned that the Ministry would not tolerate misconduct, abuse of office, intimidation, extortion, harassment or any action capable of tarnishing the image of the Ministry and the Enugu State Government.
Mr. Nnamoko further disclosed that the activities and conduct of enforcement officers are being documented and monitored, stressing that any officer found to have acted contrary to established rules, regulations and government directives would be subjected to appropriate disciplinary measures.
He reminded the officers that wearing the uniform of the State Government comes with responsibility and accountability, urging them to understand that their actions in the field directly affect the public perception of the Ministry and the government.

He therefore called on all officers to work with integrity, fairness and dedication, while ensuring that enforcement is carried out professionally and without unnecessary confrontation with members of the public.
The Permanent Secretary reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to supporting officers in the discharge of their lawful duties, while equally insisting that all officers must operate within the limits of the law and approved government procedures.

He urged the officers to see themselves as ambassadors of the Enugu State Government and to uphold the principles of discipline, accountability, fairness and service in the discharge of their duties.
