Vice President Kashim Shettima has commissioned an ultra-modern fashion hub and launched the 5th MSME Clinic in Enugu, distributing N150,000 grants to business owners. This gesture demonstrates the federal government’s commitment to empowering Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) across Nigeria.


The Vice President’s empathy towards the less privileged was specifically praised. It was noted that leadership is about identifying with the people and listening to the problems confronting them. This initiative aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s directive to support MSMEs.

In his remarks, Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Chief Uche Nnaji, emphasized the importance of entrepreneurship training. He commended the efforts of the office of the Vice President for creating an enabling environment for small businesses to thrive through the Clinics.

Chief Uche Nnaji announced the commencement of a training program for shoemakers across the country. He stressed that skills acquisition is crucial in closing the unemployment gap in the state. This program aims to equip shoemakers with the necessary skills to boost their businesses.

The Chairman of the South East chapter of the National Employers Consultative Association pledged the group’s support and the private sector’s backing for federal government initiatives. Specifically, those focused on creating employment opportunities for young people were highlighted.

Dignitaries present at the event included Deputy Governor of Enugu State, Barr Ifeanyi Ossai; some members of the National Assembly; Managing Director of Niger Delta Holding Company, Engr Jennifer Adighije; Hon. Engr. Anayo B. Onwuegbu and representatives of MSME Clinic partners.
