PDP Suspends South-East Vice Chairman, Ali Odefa, Over Anti-Party Activities

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has taken disciplinary action against its South-East zone national vice chairman, Ali Odefa, suspending him over alleged anti-party activities. The suspension was announced by the party’s Oguduokwor Ward chapter in the Onicha Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.

According to Herbert Onyedikachi, the acting Chairman of the PDP Oguduokwor Ward, the suspension takes immediate effect. Onyedikachi addressed a press briefing in Abuja alongside other committee members, explaining that Odefa’s actions harmed the party’s reputation and interests.

“The Ward Executive Committee acted under Section 57(3) of the PDP Constitution to suspend Chief Odefa,” Onyedikachi stated. He further noted that Odefa has been referred to the Ward Disciplinary Committee for additional proceedings.

The suspension aims to maintain party discipline and uphold the PDP’s values and principles. “We urge party members to remain committed to the PDP’s objectives and goals,” Onyedikachi added.
