Enugu: EEDC Vows to Upgrade Customers to Band A Tariff

The Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC) has pledged to transition customers from lower tariff bands to Band A, ensuring a minimum of 20 hours of daily electricity supply.

Speaking at the company’s Customer Service Week, Acting Managing Director Dr. Ernest Mupwaya emphasized EEDC’s commitment to exceeding customer expectations.

“This year’s theme, ‘Above and Beyond,’ reflects our transformation and dedication to delivering exceptional service,” Mupwaya said. “Together, we’re providing reliable power and outstanding customer experiences despite challenges.”

Mupwaya urged employees to renew their commitment to courteous, timely, and impactful services. He highlighted EEDC’s strive for excellence and innovative customer service.

The company has deployed advanced technologies to enhance customer experience and interface. Mupwaya acknowledged obstacles, including revenue shortages and industry regulations, but expressed pride in EEDC’s progress toward financial sustainability.

“Through business process re-engineering and innovative solutions, we’re increasing revenue collections and reducing losses,” Mupwaya said. “Our ICT systems and transformer upgrades have introduced groundbreaking innovations, promising significant cost savings and improved customer satisfaction.”
