In a statement on his Facebook handle, Governor Mbah celebrated the strength, resilience, and boundless potential of the Enugu girl, emphasizing the importance of education, protection, and digital skills training. “Today, as we celebrate the International Day of the Girl Child, I am reminded of the strength, resilience, and boundless potential of the Enugu girl,” he said.
At the heart of Governor Mbah’s vision is ensuring access to quality education, free from barriers and biases, and strengthening legislation against gender-based violence. He also highlighted the need to equip girls with essential digital skills, including e-commerce, fintech, and cyber-security, to thrive in the global economy.
Governor Mbah encouraged girls to pursue leadership roles, innovation, and greatness, assuring them of his administration’s unwavering support. “To every young girl in Enugu, you are powerful, you are brilliant, and your voice matters. We believe in your potential to excel in whatever you set your heart on,” he said.
