ENSUBEB LAUDS GOVERNOR MBAH OVER TEACHERS’ INCLUSION IN NEW MINIMUM WAGE

The Enugu State Universal Basic Education Board (ENSUBEB) has congratulated and appreciated Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah for including primary school teachers in the new minimum salary package of N80,000 for workers in the state.

In a statement signed by Assoc. Prof. Hyginus Banko Okibe, Executive Chairman of ENSUBEB, the Board commended Governor Mbah’s transformative leadership, citing unprecedented infrastructural development, including the innovative Smart Green School, which the N80,000 new minimum wage will breathe life into the teachers in the discharge of their duties. This gesture has overwhelmed the ENSUBEB family and public primary school teachers with joy and gratitude.

Indeed, Governor Mbah’s administration has made history by including primary school teachers in the salary adjustments without delay, or waiting for teachers to protest and disrupt academic activities, as were the cases in the past. This demonstrates his commitment to the welfare of the state workforce and dedication to giving teachers a sense of belonging.

The new minimum salary package is a practical demonstration of Governor Mbah’s large heart and commitment to the well-being of workers. ENSUBEB has pledged to give its best services to promoting basic education and unwavering support to the administration’s efforts to elevate basic education in the state.

Assoc. Prof. Okibe noted that Governor Mbah’s focused and progressive governance, characterized by performance, goodwill, and selfless service, sets him apart as an exceptional leader who has come to change the ugly trajectory in the governance and development of the state devoid of distracting politics.
