
President Bola Tinubu has decorated Acting Chief of Army Staff, Olufemi Oluyede, as Lieutenant General in a ceremony at the President’s office.

Oluyede expressed gratitude, reaffirming his commitment to upholding the vision of Chief of Army Staff, Taoreed Lagbaja, and maintaining peace nationwide.
Oluyede, a member of the 39 Regular Course, was commissioned as a second lieutenant in 1992. He participated in operations like ECOMOG in Liberia, Operation Harmony IV in Bakassi, and Operation Hadin Kai in the North East.
President Tinubu attributed success against terrorism and banditry to synergy among the armed forces, urging service chiefs to sustain harmony.
