The Enugu State Ministry of Housing, located at the State Secretariat GRA, Enugu, has issued an important notice to allottees of various estates developed by the Ministry.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!According to the notice, signed by the Management, the Ministry has observed with dismay that majority of the allottees do not follow the due process of securing approval for their building designs/plans and applying for the establishment of beacons of their respective plots of land before commencement of construction work.
This situation has resulted in unprecedented trespassing complaints from the different estates established by the Ministry of Housing, Enugu State.
To address this issue, the Ministry conducted a verification exercise of allocations and ownership status in all the estates, during which some adjustments were made to properly define the housing scheme and accommodate classified areas to generate enhanced revenue for the State Government.
Consequently, the Ministry is mandating all allottees of the different estates to seek proper guidance and approval from the Ministry of Housing before entering the estates for any construction work.
The notice warned that henceforth, any allottee caught without authorization from the Ministry on the site would have their allocation sanctioned accordingly.
“Allottees are advised to comply with the approved survey plan of each housing estate while developing their plots,” the notice read.
The Ministry emphasized the importance of following the due process to avoid any issues.
