The Enugu State Ministry of Education has strongly condemned the bullying and physical assault of a student at Federal Government College, Enugu. Professor Ndubueze L. Mbah, PhD, Honourable Commissioner for Education, emphasized the state’s zero tolerance policy for bullying and abuse, prioritizing students’ safety and welfare.
The Enugu State Government has commenced investigation and legal actions. Culprits will face prosecution, while negligent school managers will receive appropriate sanctions. Conditions at Federal Government College will undergo review to prevent future incidents.
The Enugu State Government prioritizes students’ safety, welfare and educational excellence. Professor Mbah reiterated that bullying violates core values of respect, equality and freedom.
