
In a bold move to tackle the perennial challenge of out-of-school children, the Federal Ministry of Education has unveiled a groundbreaking “Back2School” enrollment drive. Led by the Honourable Minister of Education, Dr. Maruf Tunji Alausa, this pioneering initiative seeks to reintegrate Almajiri and out-of-school children into the educational system across the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!The programme’s formal handover ceremony is scheduled to take place from Friday, November 15 to Saturday, November 16, 2024, at designated locations across the FCT. These locations include:
Kado Centre, Junior Secondary School Kado Kucl, on November 15 at 10 am
Karu, LEA Karu Central Primary School, on November 16 at 9 am
Deidei, LEA Primary School, on November 16 at 11 am
Kuje, Science Primary School, on November 16 at 1 pm
Notably, the Honourable Minister of Education, Dr. Maruf Tunji Alausa, and the Honourable Minister of FCT, Mr. Nyesom Wike, have generously approved the absorption of these children into schools at no cost to their parents.
Dr. Alausa extended his heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Muhammad Sani Idris, Executive Secretary of the National Commission for Almajiri and Out-of-School Children Education (NCADOSCE), and Mr. Nyesom Wike for their unwavering support in making this initiative a reality.
This landmark programme underscores the Federal Ministry of Education’s commitment to harnessing education as a potent tool for fostering national development, promoting democratic values, and ensuring the well-being of all Nigerian citizens.
