Executive Governor of Enugu State
The Enugu State Government has announced a wide range of initiatives aimed at transforming the state’s education, infrastructure, security, and economy. The announcements were made by Governor Peter Mbah during a town hall meeting with Ndi Enugu, held at the Michael Okpara Square.

He assured that the smart schools project would be completed by September next year, ensuring every child in Enugu State has access to quality education.
In addition, Governor Mbah announced plans to remodel and expand Michael Okpara Square, as well as complete the international Conference Center, which will host future town hall meetings.
The governor also emphasized his administration’s commitment to providing opportunities for people with special needs. He announced plans to establish vocational centers for this group, ensuring they have access to skills training and education.
Furthermore, Governor Mbah assured landowners whose properties were used for government projects that they would receive compensation. He also announced plans to introduce rail transportation in Enugu, as well as sensitize the public on road transportation and bus terminals in Enugu within the first half of next year.
On the issue of security, the governor announced the launch of the command and control center DRS, aimed at combating insecurity in the state. He assured Ndi Enugu of his administration’s commitment to ensuring their safety, especially businessmen.
Governor Mbah also emphasized his administration’s goal of making Enugu the premier destination for business, tourism, and education. He expressed his desire to attract 300 million visitors to Enugu and establish the state as an international hub, with the Enugu Air project aimed at providing easy access to flights around the world.
Additionally, the governor announced plans to ensure uninterrupted power supply in Enugu, which would further boost the state’s economy and improve the lives of its citizens.
The town hall meeting included a question-and-answer session, where citizens had the opportunity to engage with the governor and seek clarification on various issues.
