GOV. MBAH COMMISSIONS ORANTO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT HOTEL, PLEDGES TO LAUNCH ENUGU-AIR SOON

In a significant boost to the state’s tourism and economic development, Enugu State Governor, Dr. Peter Mbah, has commissioned the 95-room Oranto International Airport Hotel Enugu. The hotel, located at the Enugu International Airport, was built by Prince Engr. Arthur Eze, Chairman of Atlas Oranto Petroleum and President of Atlas Oranto Group.

The commissioning ceremony, which took place recently, was attended by dignitaries from across the state. While commissioning the hotel, Governor Mbah reiterated his commitment to operationalizing the Akanu Ibiam International Airport and announced plans to launch Enugu-Air soon. This initiative aims to make Enugu a premier destination for investment, business, and tourism.

The governor emphasized that Enugu-Air is not just about procuring aircraft but also about creating a hub for international tourism. To achieve this, the state government has put measures in place to attract at least 3 million visitors annually. “Our goal is to make Enugu a destination of choice for tourists and investors,” Governor Mbah said. “We are committed to providing the necessary infrastructure and support to make this a reality.”

The Oranto International Airport Hotel Enugu is a state-of-the-art facility that boasts 95 rooms, two conference halls with a total capacity of 470, as well as a boardroom. The hotel is expected to provide a comfortable and convenient accommodation option for travelers and businessmen visiting the state.

Governor Mbah commended Prince Engr. Arthur Eze for investing in Enugu and assured that his administration would provide a conducive environment for genuine investments in the state. Prince Eze, in turn, applauded the governor for his encouragement and praised his economic and infrastructural development efforts, describing them as unprecedented in the South East. “I am impressed with the governor’s vision for Enugu State,” Prince Eze said. “I am confident that his administration will take the state to greater heights.”
