LP Councilorship Candidates In Last Enugu LG Election Pay Homage To Rep Nnamchi

The Councilorship candidates of the Enugu East/Isi Uzo Federal Constituency extraction of the Labour Party, (LP) in October, 2024 Local Government’s Election in Enugu State have paid a Christmas visit to Hon. Prof Paul Sunday Nnamchi in his country home, Ako-Nike.

The candidates who came under the umbrella of Committee of Counselorship Candidates of Labour Party in Enugu East/Isi Uzo Federal Constituency described Professor Nnamchi as a true Ambassador of the constituency in the National Assembly.

Speaking through their leader, Honourable Chinedu Osogwu who represented Ikem Ward One in Isi Uzo Local Government Area at election said that Hon. Nnamchi has lifted the constituency through quality representations in the House of Representatives.

“We have come today not to just to pay you festive homepage but to also commend you for the great job you are doing in the National Assembly as our representative. We believe that by commending you for what you have done we are encouraging you to do more for our people.

“During your campaign, you assured our people that you would do it better, today the evidences are speaking loudly that you have indeed done it better and we are proud of you”. Honourable Osogwu further stressed.

He pleaded with him to continue to seek placements for the youths of the constituency in federal establishments, skill acquisitions and entrepreneurship programmes in order to reduce the high rates of unemployed youths in Enugu East/Isi Uzo Federal Constituency.

Responding, Hon Professor Nnamchi declared that he had been humbled by the visit and the kind words used by the counselorship candidates who took turn to express their personal wishes and to acknowledge his performance in the National Assembly.

Professor Nnamchi equally assured his guests that he would not relent in his pursuit of quality representations and good governance adding that his entry into politics was not for personal aggrandizement but to improve the lives of his constituents.

Professor Nnamchi in the last two years of his sojourn in the National Assembly has sponsored 30 establishment and amendment Bills, over 20 impactful motions, constructed several classroom blocks, established one computer Centre, supplied and mounted hundreds of solar powered street lights in addition to the award of scholarships and provision of uniforms as well as school bags for pupils in the constituency.
