The Awgu Local Government Area has successfully completed the first batch of free Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) registration for 1,500 students. This initiative, championed by the Executive Chairman, Hon. Uchenna Okolo, is part of his administration’s commitment to empowering the youth and promoting education in the area.

The registration exercise, held at the CBT-ICT JAMB Registration/Exam Center in the Institute of Management and Technology (IMT), Enugu, witnessed a large turnout of beneficiaries, including students from within and outside Enugu State who hail from Awgu Local Government.

Speaking during the exercise, the Head of Department (HOD) of Education, Awgu LGA, Mrs. Adinde, commended Hon. Okolo for his dedication to the educational advancement of the people of Awgu. She also reminded prospective beneficiaries of the ongoing Emerging Tech Online Training, which is open to all and free for 1,000 participants sponsored by the council chairman.

Mrs. Adinde urged the beneficiaries to take advantage of the initiative and assured them of the council’s continued commitment to empowering the youth through education and technology.
