Her Excellency, Mrs. Nkechinyere Iheoma Mbah, the First Lady of Enugu State, has been honored with the prestigious African Iconic Women Recognition Award 2025.

Mrs. Mbah was honored as “The Best Performing First Lady of the Year” and “The Most Outstanding First Lady of the Year” at the award ceremony.
Hon. Princess Obiajulu Ugwu, the Deputy Chief Whip of the Enugu State House of Assembly and Honourable Member representing Enugu South Rural Constituency, congratulated Mrs. Mbah on her well-deserved award.
“As the world marks Women’s Month and commemorates International Women’s Day 2025, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to Her Excellency, Mrs. Nkechinyere Iheoma Mbah, on this prestigious recognition,” Hon. Ugwu said.
Mrs. Mbah’s initiatives, including the Custos Care Foundation and the Enugu Women Monthly Prayer Network, have had a significant impact on the lives of women in Enugu State. Her partnership with the Enugu State Ministry of Children, Gender Affairs, and Social Development has also been instrumental in promoting women’s empowerment and social development in the state.
