This decisive triumph marked a crucial return to winning form for the “Flying Antelopes” and propelled them to third place in the 20-team league.

With head coach Fidelis Ilechukwu set to join the Super Eagles’ World Cup qualifying camp, he entrusted starts to Ikechukwu Mgbemena and Daniel Onyia. The decision proved inspired as Rangers displayed relentless attacking intent from the opening whistle.
Chiedozie Okorie ignited the stadium with a lightning-fast goal in the very first minute, slotting home with precision. The home side continued to press, doubling their advantage before the half-hour mark. Okorie turned provider, setting up Isaac Saviour for his eighth goal of the season.

We created numerous chances and converted three, which is a huge boost. We remain positive about finishing the season strongly.”
Kwara United’s coach, Tunde Sanni, expressed disappointment, saying, “This wasn’t the result we came for, especially after Rangers denied us points at home. My players lost possession too easily, particularly in midfield. We need to address these issues.”
