The commissioning ceremony took place yesterday in Enugu, where Governor Mbah praised the efforts of outgoing Chairman, Sir Victor Atuonwu, and his executive for transforming the clubhouse.
Governor Mbah emphasized the importance of the Enugu Sports Club in promoting good health and serving as a functional cohesion. He assured that he would fulfill his role as Club President creditably. Sir Atuonwu, in his speech, thanked Governor Mbah for his support in rebuilding the clubhouse from scratch.
The club’s needs, including asphalting the road, renovating the swimming pool, and developing outdoor game facilities, were highlighted by Sir Atuonwu. He encouraged people to register with the club to stay fit and exchange business ideas.

Notable personalities, including former Governor Sullivan Chime, Chief Onyemuche Nnamani, and Chief Nnia Nwodo, attended the event. The Enugu State Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Chief Lloyd Ekweremadu Jnr, and some members of the State Executive Council were also present.
Barrister Ifeanyi Nweke, the newly elected Chairman, is set to deliver his acceptance speech and outline his vision for the club tomorrow. He will also present his cabinet to the club for ratification.
