In a grand ceremony held yesterday, March 25th, 2025, at the Awgu Local Government Council headquarters, Hon. Uchenna Okolo, the Executive Chairman of Awgu Local Government Area, swore in five new supervisors and two Special Personal Assistants (SPAs). The event was a resounding success, with a large turnout of distinguished stakeholders and lawmakers.

The newly appointed supervisors and SPAs are expected to bring fresh perspectives and ideas to the table. They include:
Hon. Kingsley Ogbonna, (Awgu I),
Hon. David Nwali, (Awgu II),
Hon. Godwin L. Egungwu, (Obeagu),
Hon. Samuel Ngene (Ugbo/Ogugu/Amoli/Owelli ward), Hon. Okafor Chigozie E, (Ogbaku),
Hon. Uzochukwu Emeka Bruno and Hon. Chijioke James Ndubuisi, who will serve as Special Personal Assistants (SPAs) Political/ General Duties Respectively.
The Executive Chairman, Hon. Uchenna Okolo, expressed his confidence in the new team members, saying, “I am delighted to welcome our new supervisors and SPAs. I am confident that they will work tirelessly to drive progress and development in our local government area.”
The Secretary to the Local Government also congratulated the new team members, saying, “We are excited to have you on board. We look forward to working with you to achieve our goals and make Awgu Local Government Area a model of excellence.”
