One of the hallmarks of Hon. Prof. Nnamchi’s tenure has been his focus on infrastructure development. The rehabilitation of the 5km Ako-Nike Road has improved road connectivity for the community, while the installation of ultra-modern streetlights has enhanced safety and security in over 50 communities and streets in the constituency.
Empowering the Youth
The establishment of the Youth Empowerment Program (PPNTAYI) has provided training and skills development for youths, equipping them with the tools necessary to succeed in today’s competitive world. Additionally, over 500 students have benefited from computer training in different packages, while over 250 students have received university scholarships and 50 students have been awarded bursary awards.
Appointments and Empowerment
Hon. Prof. Nnamchi has also made significant appointments to over 50 young men and women drawn from his constituency, providing them with opportunities to serve and contribute to the development of their communities.
Health and Welfare: A Priority
The constituency has also benefited from medical outreaches conducted in various locations, including Trans-Ekulu, St. Theresa’s Abakpa, Ogwagor, Ikem, Akpuoga, and Ehamufu. Furthermore, the distribution of palliative grains and relief materials, including food items, cooking ingredients, cash, and meat, has provided much-needed support to constituents during Christmas and New Year holidays. Muslim constituents have also been blessed with praying mats, cash, and other food items during Ramadan celebrations.
Legislative Achievements
As a lawmaker, Hon. Prof. Nnamchi has sponsored over 30 bills, including bills for the establishment of federal colleges and universities. He has also moved 11 motions, addressing critical issues such as the review of the National Health Insurance Scheme and security situations in Eha Amufu.
Other Notable Achievements
Some of Hon. Prof. Nnamchi’s other notable achievements include training over 350 students in another edition of the Free Computer Training Empowerment Program, facilitating the admission of several students into federal and state universities, and facilitating the employment of over 10 members of the constituency into federal government establishments. He has also provided free school uniforms for indigent pupils in public schools and awarded the construction of a borehole and public toilets in Orie Ugwuogo market.
