EFCC Arrests E-Money Over Alleged Naira Abuse

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has apprehended Emeka Okonkwo, popularly known as E-Money, over alleged abuse of the Naira. According to sources, E-Money, the CEO of Emmy Cargoes Nigeria Limited and Five Star Music, was arrested on Tuesday morning in Lagos State.

The arrest is reportedly linked to allegations that E-Money sprayed both Naira and US dollars at a party in Lagos, contravening Nigeria’s currency laws. The EFCC has confirmed that E-Money is currently being held at the commission’s facility in Lagos, where he is undergoing interrogation.
