The Member of the House of Representatives for Aninri/Awgu/Oji River Federal Constituency of Enugu State, Hon. Engr. (Dr.) Anayo Onwuegbu, has commenced the construction of the Agbogugu-Isu-Ituku-Agbudu connecting road. The project kicked off on May 2, 2025, with the arrival of road construction equipment in Agbogugu.

The team of engineers was warmly received by the traditional ruler of Agbogugu, HRH Igwe M.O. Onuoha, and other prominent stakeholders, including Chief Emeka Udeh (Udemeks), Hon. Elozie Nwabuisi (Jimmy Cocker), Hon. Malachy Nwogbo, Chief Lordrick Nwadioha (Ozidy), and Chief Okezie.
The community leaders expressed their gratitude and appreciation for the lawmaker’s initiative, pledging to cooperate with the team. Chief Emeka Udeh described the day as special, noting that the road had been abandoned since 1956. “Today is a special day in our community. This road has been abandoned since 1956 after the commissioning of Agbogugu Health Center by Chief Michael I. Okpara, Premier of the then Eastern Region. We are very glad to receive the Engineers sent by our MHR as promised. Our Almighty God shall keep making him more focused,” he said.
