…As Enugu East Mayor Emerges Number One In Ministry’s Local Government Performance Chart

The projects were executed by the Engr. Beloved-Dan Anike-led administration.
The Governor, represented by Hon. Deacon Okey Ogbodo, Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy Matters, and Rural Development, was received by HRH Igwe Mike Ogbuchi, the traditional ruler of Mbulu Anwuri autonomous community.
The traditional ruler commended the Governor’s developmental efforts and expressed gratitude to the Executive Chairman of Enugu East LGA; Engr. Pst. Beloved-Dan Obi Anike for his people-oriented leadership and developmental projects.
The Executive Chairman in his speech, stated that his administration is working in complete alignment with the vision and disruptive innovations of the State Government. He appreciated the Governor of Enugu State, His Excellency Barr. Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, whose visionary leadership inspires him and his administration in Enugu East LGA.
The road construction project, which was flagged off in Ugwuomu Nike community, is part of the State Government’s initiative to improve the road infrastructure in the council area.
According to Engr. Anike, the project is in line with the State Government’s directive that all roads leading to the Enugu Green Smart Schools must be constructed.
The administration has also undertaken a comprehensive Road Infrastructure Needs Assessment, grading over 50km of road, constructing a 1km Ifo layout-Harmony estate link road with a 3-cell culvert, and opening a 10km virgin road from Onyoho Nike to Owum waterfall.
The commissioning of the two brand new 500KVA transformers in Akpuoga Nike and Nchatancha Nike communities is a significant step towards improving the power supply in the area. The transformers were procured, installed, and energized by the Engr. Beloved-Dan Obi Anike-led administration.
The Governor’s representative Deacon Ogbodo reiterated the State Government’s commitment to causing disruptive innovations across all sectors and wards. He urged the people to reward the Governor’s efforts by giving him complete support.
The event was attended by various dignitaries, including the Deputy Chairman of Enugu East LGA; Hon. Engr. Kingsley Obi Anike, the Secretary to Enugu East Local Government; Barr. Uche Mbaeke, and other political appointees and party leaders.
